Ciera has had enough and packs her bags!!

Ciera talks daily about "our baby", being a big sister and she asks regularly "is our baby coming today?" "are we going to Kazastan today?" (Kazastan being her pronounciation not my spelling!), and I tell her the same thing everytime "soon honey". I found out tonight that "soon" is just not good enough anymore. When we got home from our day Ciera headed up to her room and closed the door...."hmm" I thought "well at least I can hear her over the baby monitor that is still in her room", so I set about calling my sister. I hear Ciera's closet door opening and soon I hear her banging around and I head upstairs to see what she is doing, she was in front of her open closet.....wearing shorts, a short sleeved t-shirt, has a backpack stuffed full and is putting stuff her rolling Princess suitcase. I asked her why she was packing and where was she going, and with an authoritative/agitated voice I am told "to Kazastan to get my baby" (as if to say are you daft mom?!). I was still on the phone with my sister and when I told her all this and what Ciera was wearing she laughed an said "I hope she's packed something warmer it was -48C there today", then she laughed again and said "Ciera and I will go to the Spanish Riveria and we'll wait for you there!" HAH, not likley!!!

Then Ciera heaved the backpack on and rolled her suitcase to the stairs, she wanted to roll it down the stairs no doubt relishing the thought of it bumping all the way down, but I nixed that and I told her I'd carry the suitcase down for her.

When Ciera went to head upstairs to get ready for bed she came running back to the family room, opened the backpack up, took out "mummy fish" and went upstairs. When it's time for Ciera to get into bed I do an "animal" check to make sure that all the stuffed animals she sleeps with are all there so I don't have to look for them during a "crisis" and I noticed that Sweet Fish, Baby Fish and Baby Beluga (do you see a trend here?) were all absent, I asked where they were and was told "in the backpack", I came down to get them and decided to see what else she had packed for her trip....there were 2 pairs of shoes, several reader type books, a stuffed elephant (Shocks, so you see Auntie Dada he was coming too!!), flashcards, her batman cape, a shape sorter (that she had reclaimed from the baby's room), bathtub alphabet letters, and a couple of baby spoons!! Something tells me our luggage will be WAAAYYYY overweight heading to Kazakhstan!

Ah well.....at least we'll be prepared for everything....well almost everything....I'll have to talk her into putting on something warmer :-)
